  • Rempeyek, a traditional Javanese cracker, made from rice-flour dough with peanuts or shrimp as topping. Rempeyek usually served as complimentary dish in various restaurants in Java, along with main dish. But most of Indonesian also having Rempeyek as snack in general, or adding it into their daily food.
  • Pempek, is a savoury Indonesian fishcake delicacy made of fish and tapioca. Pempek is originated from Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia, well-known and loved by many of Indonesians. Pempek usually served with rich sweet and sour sauce called kuah cuka (lit. vinegar sauce). Adding some yellow noodles and diced up cucumber also a known method to balance out the vinegar’s sourness.
