Indonesian Traditional Snack Seller ; Basreng and Bawang Goreng
Basreng or Bakso Goreng is a traditional Indonesian snack made from meatball in which, instead of being steamed or boiled, its being fried. A half-cooked meatball or any market-standard meatball, sliced or cut into desired shape, seasoned with various spices and chilies, then cooked in deep-fry method.
Bawang Goreng, is actually just a fried shallot. However, alot of Indonesian cuisine especially in West Java using bawang goreng as a topping, and thus making bawang goreng as an iconic topping in West Java cuisine.
