Cireng is an iconic Sundanese delicacy and widely loved by people of West Java. Cireng is an abbreviation of “aci goreng” which is simply mean fried starch. Cireng main ingredient is tapioca starch, and have various fills ; chicken meat, beef, and vegetables. There are various sauce that goes well with Cireng, but most people prefer sweet soy sauce mixed with chili pepper.
Combro, is a staple traditional food from West Java and Sundanese culture. Combro is mainly made from cassava (grated) and filled with oncom, then fried. The name of Combro itself means “oncom dijero” (Sundanese language), or oncom fills. Oncom itself is actually another traditional food that came from Sundanese culture, and Combro is one of many Oncom dishes. As a snack, Combro is really great to have as a light-breakfast choice before going to work, or to accompany you in cold and rainy days in Bandung.
