Bugis, is a traditional Indonesian cake, originated from South Sulawesi. The name of the cake itself related to Indonesian Ethnic group with the same name which is Bugis. It is suggested that Bugis people having this cake as their delicacy, hence the cake name is the same with the ethnic group. Bugis cake itself made from glutinous rice (known as Ketan) flour as the skin, and then filled with grated coconut flesh and sweetened with palm sugar. The soft texture of Bugis and its natural sweet taste, made it a delicacy that most Indonesians love.
